Who out there on this forum has a complete wiring diagram for the Doral 250se. I got this boat at a price that I could not refuse. It has electrical problems that could not be sorted due to exorbitant prices given to come to the owners house to work on the boat. There are circuits draining the batteries. One is the auto bilge pump that once it turns on it runs and does not switch off this one is the easy one, the pump or a float switch. Both bilge pumps a Rule pumps . Now I don't want to start from the battery and follow the cable
until if I have a circuit diagram I can eliminate a lot of the circuits. I am lazy and why invent another wheel when it is available. Bannister said he had that info but that was in about 2011.

Also another question the two pumps work when I connect the batteries but they leave about 1.5 inches of water in the bilge and i don't think this water is any good for the 5.7 V8 Volvo penta oil pan. Anybody have a similar problem

Doesnt exist, likely never did at the factory originally. Not sure what Bannister had or didnt have

Trace/hunt and label.

Follows

ABYC wiring standard

Google will produce some pix/chart

1st time I've ever heard of anyone getting a wiring diagram, ever, across multiple forums and countless requests for them. Never once has anyone produced them.

Bannister claimed he had them back in 2010, but no idea if he followed up and actually sent copies.

He's long gone from here, so not likely any way to reach him to see what he had.

Hunt/trace is likely your best (only) option.

Good luck..

Never seen one either myself. I'm sure people have made them as they've worked, or someone may have gotten hold of some old manufacturing diagrams, but I've never seen any.

One way to eliminate circuits is to remove fuses after connecting an ammeter in series with the load. The fuse removed when the ammeter drops to zero is the draining circuit.

As for the 1.5" of water left in the bilge, it depends on the mounting of the pumps/float switches and the attitude of the boat. But even a perfectly mounted set of pumps will leave some water behind. Hopefully the boat is on a trailer and not on the water and you're adding water to test the pumps. Other-wise you have a leak or cover to fix.

Welcome aboard, Landy.

Thanks for the answer jbcurt00. Yup I guess I will have to do it the hard way of trace and lable as you say. It was worth a try with a 1000 members.

Thanks for the acceptance GA Boater. It was worth a try to see if anyone of the 1000+ members may have some kind of Circuit. I guess it is gonna be the hard way..

First, when you quote and reply, write your reply under the quote. Not in separate messages.
I don't think you understand what I said.

The boat is on my lift high and dry. I used my shop vac to clear the water/oil sludge for now. now I can get on with the power drain on the battery. The other battery power drain is the one bilge pump running continuously that is an easy fix.

Ya know shockingly there was one laminated to the underside of one of my hatches. A 1984 astroglass.

O.P. If you are on Facebook, there are 2 Doral owner forums. In one of them they have many of the original manuals which included the wiring diagams. I now have a 270 SC and those forums have been very helpful.
