Will do.Hang in there that is. Just a believer in simple is better, and whats simpler than what you already know. Also Im a curmudgeon(if you ask the admiral),and a creature of routine so maybe its just my problem.Just seeing if anybody else feels like they have a friend in rehab with all the changes.
yep, I understand ^^^, for me, even the buggy early version of the new site a couple days ago was enough to feed the addiction & help me get over the DT's of the forum being down for so long :watermelon:
Not perfect, but there is likely a swarm of tech minions, yeah, ok, maybe
it is just Toneees behind the curtain, no matter. Even since I posted my comment above, I've noticed stuff has changed, again. Given the forums size (posts per day & thread counts) I suspect it's a complete PITA to keep it running as smooth as it does.
I am more & more curmudgeon like almost daily :cold:
I seem to remember reading somewhere over the last few days that a huge factor in the upgrade was to protect the host, iboats.com, and improve the overall security of the forum's servers. So, yeah, protecting our generous host, I'm onboard with that.... Like I said, they graciously sponsor this free site.
Although simple can be good, I wholly agree & often use the K.I.S.S. axiom, it can also just be simple, not necessarily better. Still got an AM only radio (or an audio delete plate) in your crank start car?
Send me a pix of you in 4ft of snow or 100F+ heat cranking that puppy over & jumping in for a ride to work and I'll GLADLY come back & post a retraction for the simple is just simple comment. Deal?
BTW: Nice change of title, probably much more accurate description of your opinion, although you may FEEL like the other was......
Again, have a great long holiday weekend
