I hate to call you out but I brought up something in this thread about sparkplugs. I know how you feel about Champion plugs and I feel the same way. Have you seen these stickers on these 5.0 Gi engines or have you read anything about it. If so can you give me a link to it. I know I read some literature about the Champion plugs in these 5.0's somewhere. http://forums.iboats.com/bbBoard.cgi?a=viewthread;fid=24;gtid=1273962

Thanks.....I knew I had read that bulletin, but after an unsuccessful search I began to think maybe it was a dream I had. LOL :%

Re: DonS

Don may i ask, is this engine spefic or is it related to the Gi series during those model year's? I have a 4.3 Gi made in 2000 and after a plug change i noticed a small drop in power ( didnt seem to rev as freely) and increased fuel comsumption

Re: DonS

The real question is, "what is the main difference in the plugs?" Spark plugs can be too long and hit the piston or they can be too hot and burn a hole through the piston, (did that with my first Yamaha enduro motorcycle), or they can be too cold and foul.

What are the Champion; YUK; spark plugs doing that are different the the stock AC/Delco plugs; always better in my opinion especially in a GMC; that can "cause severe engine damage."?
