Thats a great looking area Don. I'm sure you will enjoy that. Does the canal open into the bay or is it land locked?

Re: Don's Place

The canals and lake's (the one is more of a pond in my book) are all land locked and not connected to either the harbor or the ocean in any way. It's really a neat place. Was planning on spending a day there. Turned into 4, The only kind of people we met there was friends we hadn't met before.
Very friendly small town living, very similar to here, only you can DRIVE to everything else.

Welcome to WA and Ocean Shores, hold on as the wind blows free, and the free sprinkler system works very well indeed. If you are into fishing both salt and fresh water you found a very nice place to call home. The Chehalis river drainage offers excellent steelhead and salmon and a few sturgeon.

Re: Don's Place

Thanks for the welcome Bob, but Trust Me. Ocean Shores doesn't have half the rain or wind that Ketchikan Alaska does.
We get 160 to 180 inches of rain a year compared to the 60 to 80 in OS. Wind is about the same as as the rainfall in comparison. Gust to 50 or 60 is at least a weekly occurance around here.
We used to live on a sailboat in Anachortes before moving to AK prior to that we were in Tacoma, but never made it to Ocean Shores till last week.
