So long story short i was doing some electrical work on my ski and i put the positive cable to the negative terminal. It sat there for about 2 min before i realized what i had done. Now when i hit the start button it makes NO inclination of life. Not even a starter click. I charged battery well, checked the grounds. Even sanded all the terminals and cable connections. What could i have fried? And how do i test if i fried anything? Thanks!

I would suspect the starter solenoid is damaged. Try jumping the starter solenoid (jump the 2 large leads attached to the solenoid (both +)) and if it starts you just replace the solenoid.

Theres a fuse in there somewhere too. #14 in the schematic. On my 92 650 its accessable through a screwed down round cover on the cdi. Start with the simple stuff.
