dogs down at half speed

I have 9-9 h.p. evinrude mod. # e10re1r. It has been sitting over 6 months with out running.I put fresh gas in it and it starts great. It trolls good also but any more than half speed it will dog down to idle. Runs great up to half speed. I think it is a 1995.Any tips where to start would be appreciated

check spark, if you have good spark, carb cleaning and rebuild, special attention to high speed jets.

Your high speed jet or orifice lies in the bottom of the float bowl at the lowest part of the carburetor. Chances are real good that it is clogged.
