Does USCG or Leo reconize Spanish boating license?

A friend of mine is from Spain/EU and is wondering if he can use his Spanish boating license in lieu of a USCG boating safety course? He would like to ride a jetski and does own a boat in Spain.

I think it would be foolish to make a decision based on info recieved from a forum on this.

Contact the local authorities where he plans to ride... That said, HE should be the one asking.... Not that it isn't nice of you to look out for him.

You would need to check the state where you are planning to ride. Many states have no boater permit requirements, some have them based on your current age or DOB.
