Does my Merc have points

I have a 1994 40hp Merc and it has a miss. Does this engine have points or are they electronic ? It is the clasic 40 horse two cycle. Jim

It is Electronic! Can you explain the Miss in further detail? What speed, When, Hot or cold or both, Ect!
