A few weeks ago the housing on my transmission on the expedition cracked started leaking tranny fluid all over so called around found a place to fix it for around 250 bucks... Then a few days after that the air conditioner went out in my car put it in the shop and it set me back 1400 dollars... yesterday was driving home and the drive belt shredded and after replacing that the air conditioner wouldnt work.. called around probably at least 500 to fix it... and in the middle of all that my refrigerator went out and when i took my other with me to buy a new one ended up spending 2200 dollars on a a fridge.. knock on wood that the repairs will stop for at least a while.. oh yea and im changing my impeller out this weekend too so thats another 30 bucks

last 3 weeks I have spent around 4400 dollars and that isnt including all my bills.. at least i have a steady job.. and the money to fix the things that go wrong.. just frustrating to try to save up and then have to spend it all at once.

All it is going to take is another 200 million or so people to start spending at the same rate.

Wow looking back at that post I suppose I was just venting.... I sounded pretty whiny... I'm usually pretty upbeat and have a good outlook on everything

We had a carpocalypse at our house a few years ago. Took some doing but we now have 2 vehicles with ridiculously long warranties.

It never stops...seems like June and December are our "break the bank" months, with taxes, insurance, tires for the cars, all old stuff tearing up, not to mention hopefully have something left to buy some Christmas gifts. My wife has now started replacing old stuff BEFORE it even tears up! Guess I'll die broke and naked in a ditch somewhere! Ain't it pitiful!!!

just this year I have had to put tires on my Jeep (2 sets winter and summer) tires on my truck and tires on my Harley. the power steering went out on the truck, water softener went out ............no it never stops, that's just the short list for the last month. No wonder I never have time or money to work on the boat. LOL

oh yeah gto one of those too. I was apparently going to be $700 short due to increase in taxes and ins. plus my payment went up for the rest of the year to cover the rest.

Just got the truck out of the shop- only $200 this time, so I'm in a relatively good mood over that. I was bracing for a new intake manifold gasket, was just a hose with a hole in it.
So far knock wood. It's not been a terribly bad year, repair wise.

Well, $4,400 in unexpected expenses will do that to a person! At $2,200, however, I sure hope that fridge lasts a loooooooooooooong time!

cicumstances and bad luck,days are why we have boats isint it sometimes? being out on the boat fishing or just enjoying nature and the the envioronment is relaxing and always makes me feel better about my problems.i watched a beautiful sunset fade over the top of a massive line of lightning filled storm tops for 1.5 hours recently.it was so pretty i stopped fishing and just took it all in.I could not count to 2 without seeing lightning in the huge storms. it was sureal and i was sorry i had gone by myself and w/o a camera.

Pool pump packed up on Sunday. Tore it apart Monday, got bearings Tuesday, cleaned it all up Wednesday, back on the pool tonight and so far all is well. $20 for bearings compared to $450 for a new pump. Glad I was able to fix it. Back in april the dishwasher and fridge quit within a couple of days. $2000 to replace the fridge, stove and dishwasher with matching stainless steel items (Mrs Ken) the Jimmy needed a few thousand $ spending on it to keep it going so we now have a 3 year old Trailblazer instead with a good warranty.
I'm sure there is more coming !!!

It is always something..if it makes ya feel better..The IRS wants 70 grand from me and thats really 60% penalties and fees that accrue DAILY

It never stops for me either. Seems like every time I get 3 dollars ahead something happens that cost me 4 or 5.....You got to make the best with what you have..sometimes there is allot of joy in fixing what you have before spending what you do not.

Should I tell you that I spent more than 10 K+ on appliances in my new house- the friggin dishwasher was more the 1300! It better last a Looooooooooooooooooong time. Let alone the fridge.....No, it never stops, unless you just say no , but your life experience tells you when to stop spending money , and the universe says you gotta spend more....who wins?????????????
