Does anyone know anything about the Charger 1850 BR boat?

I have this boat and have been restoring it. But, I have some questions. Doing a Google search brings up practically nothing on this boat. Is it really this rare of a boat? I'm trying to add things to it as well, so what boat would it closely resemble? I've been racking my brain trying to figure things out so any information other than the obvious on Google would be super helpful.

Probably not going to find much. Charger (I think) was pretty short lived, which wasn't uncommon for the 60s - 80s. Manufacturers appeared and disappeared pretty fast. The driveline was it's own manufacturer with it's own manuals. The hull was molded by the boat manufacturer, and most of the rigging was manufactured by third parties. So the boat doesn't have a manual out there either.

For most information, you're best off asking questions here on the forums.

Ok so what boat does it closely resemble? Also the people that manufactured the boat is All Family Craft which changed their name to to Playcraft in 1993 I believe.

Not sure what you mean. I'm assuming your boat looks akin to this:

But a little smaller. :noidea:

Playcraft is still around. If they did absorb Charger, then they might have an old sales brochure or something they can send you. Though, I think there were a couple of different "Charger" brands (see HERE.)

many molds were sold/shared/copied/etc over the past 100 years of fiberglass boats.

as 'kogs mentioned, many boat companies have come and gone over the years. a lot of those companies only made 1 or two hulls prior to going bust. if the companies went bust prior to the 90's, there will be zero internet presence unless there was some special reason someone put it on the web.

it doesnt make them "rare" or "valuable". it just makes them products of a defunct low-volume manufacturer.
