I'd like to own one. Just can't justify to spend too much as my use is only 4-5 times per season.

Yes, I know. Problem is, that purchasing from eBay causes problems as most won't ship outside the US. Also, importing new items makes the bells ring at our customs :(

Much easier with used items.. or at least stuff sent from private to private. Guess the Garmin eTrex is available here at some U$255 brand new.

well, uu, ole buddy, i have hardly used my garminGPS12, but i do plan on getting alot of use out of it. and you can get the etrex now for $30less than i paid for mine :(
i wish u luck on this venture tho, i just mainly posted because i believe there are several gps owners here, just not wanting to take the depreciation hit on selling. ME is not in USA? anyway, ck out this link:
http://www.thegpsstore.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/site/etrex-ventur e.htm?L+thegpsstore+viyl9329+1025078697
(and thanx for the propeller link, its great)

Thanx ebbtide,

It's just because the noble art of saving money really is one of my favourites.

ME is in Europe. I can get it here at about the same price, but that didn't keep me from trying.. I hate paying full RRP if I can avoid it.. he-he.

Yep, the prop thing is good. It really puts the facts in a way that is understandable. Also gives a lot of related info on hulls and more.
