Does 40HP Johnson Charge Battery

Does my 1993 40HP Johnson Tracker motor charge the starting battery or do I have to manually charge after use?

Most electric start motors do, unless a part of the charging system is failed. Are experiencing problems?<br /><br />-John

To John of Illinois, No problems with motor. Just purchased and did not know. Will take out for first time tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
