Guys,

What are your thoughts/experiences with DOA lures in saltwater, specifically the gulf of mexico.

I have caught a few redfish with the shrimp, but this was when the fish were really bitting at anything.

What about the DOA Terror Eyes?

How did you use them and what did you catch?

Thanks, Ken

Re: DOA Lures

I had to look this these up I've never used them, we do use jig heads & tails but not these, I will now.

"The original D.O.A. Shrimp are perfect imitations of live bait. The soft plastic body is stuffed with real shrimp and the realistic swimming action makes D.O.A. one of the fish-catchingest lures ever invented. They come in realistic colors to match the conditions of your favorite fishing location. Designed for fresh and saltwater fishing, the D.O.A. catches any fish that eats shrimp. Bass fishing in a small pond or jigging over an ocean reef, D.O.A. produces more fish."

"Fresh or Saltwater! The D.O.A. TerrorEyz is the world's first lure that makes eye contact with fish! The HOLOGRAPHIC EYES make fish attack because the eyes shoot out flashes of reflected light. The unique hidden lead head hook design makes TerrorEyz a deadly weapon. The super strong soft plastic vinyl body makes the lure swim correctly every cast, more snag resistant and the attacking fish never feels the hard lead head. "

Re: DOA Lures

Have not used them but I do use something very similar with excellent results... I see no reason why not to use them other than they are a bit pricey when compaired to similar lures..

DOA terroreyes and the DOA shrimp are very popular in my neck of the woods.. Many snook are caught on them and just about anything else that swims in the salt would likely eat it...

Gold metalflake.. ;)

I use bass assassins in several colors but they're not stuffed with fresh dead shrimp and crab, etc.

I have used them several times. I like to use a clear bobber half filled with water and pop it accross the water. We usually catch Red fish, Trout, and sometimes small Grouper on the flats. They are high priced, but work.
