Now that the season is over, there is the cool off period and then before you know it cabin fever sets in.Around February when we are well below freezin I start feeling this itch.I scout websites and look for fishing trips to be had in May.It drives me nuts to be in the snow belt knowing that 300 miles away the ocean is there full of beautiful fish.<br />This year I intend to totally overhaul all of my gear.Strip the lines off my reels and wash and wax my rods.Just to help me through this forced hybernation, can you please post pictures of your catches as the winter is in progress??

This is a freshwater answer, but when I used to fish tournaments, (Bass), I used to take all my equipment apart and do as you are, but I didnt fish much this year, and never in the rain, so I will just strip the line and put on new next spring.
