I got an 86 johnson j90tlcdc. I need to replace my rectifier. It is located on top an under the flywheel and stator. Not much room there. My solec manual, I might as well throw it away. Anyone know if I need to pull flywheel and stator to replace?

no, it is mounted to the block round with a triangular base. suggest purchase of the real manual, outboardbooks.com.

Doesn't a 90TLCD have a water cooled rectifier regulator mounted on top of the cylinder/ crankcase ?

I think it would? The 86 90hp is a crossflow with the water cooled rec/reg.
