Hi guys, getting ready to replace my fuel hose from my tank to the seperator, etc.

It looks like I have 5/16 hose to the engine, is this correct? I couldn't find anything in my manual. And should I use the same size on the OTHER side of my fuel/water seperator?

1983 200hp Johnson

Should not matter use the same size. Just don't use any TEMPO products or the bulb will fail.

Yup...3/8" for sure. That's a thirsty engine, and 5/16 just won't flow well enough. Replace all lines going to the engine with 3/8".

awesome, thanks guys. I bought a TEMPO Part no. 170102, model MF12B yesterday though, it says universal, but should I NOT use it?

(MF12B is a filter/water seperator)
That ought to have 3/8" barbs on it. Sure you can use it.

Thanks Paul, was just nervous because Bluebird had said don't use TEMPO or the bulb will fail. I hadn't heard that before, so wanted to check.

Thanks again.

Use Tempo at your own risk. Buy Yamaha fuel bulb and you won't be stranded. D
