I have a 1999 Johnson 200 hp outboard. This past week took it out and it wouldn't start, then i promptly floaded it. After an hour or so got it started but it would hesitate bad. Noticed gas driping out of the front of it so took off the carb vent cover and noticed it was full of gas. I was told i had a stuck float so i drained the float bowl and tried again. It ran perfect the first time, but when i came to idle and tried to punch it again it hesitated and bogged down. Once I got it up on plane it ran fine until i went down to the lower speeds again. And i noticed gas leaking again.

So i did the same process again, but this time tapped on the float bowl. The next day had no problems and no gas leak.

Do you think i need to do anything else or have i solved the problem?
