I was wondering which side of the coil the distributor wire gets mounted to? The positive or negative? When I took it off I didn't take a photo but yet the photo I did take earlier in the tear down process I can't seem to find right at this point. Now I know the tach gets put on the Neg side or am I wrong about this as well?

Ayuh,... Both go to the (-) terminal of the coil...

Thanks now here's another one for ya, on the barrel of the coil it states you need an external resistor, however, in looking at the hundreds of photos taken of this thing, I haven't seen that either,or is this one located in the wiring harness, and its covered by loom n tape and the leads are all that comes out and attaches to the coil? This would be hooked up to the (+) side of the coil .....? I guess I have to study those photos a bit better. Happy Easter Bond-o thanks again for the advise.

most engines what 12 volts to coil when starting, and then drop down when running, hence the resistor
