I replaced my cap and rotor, I had to buy new screws for the cap, I found ALLEN HEX head screws that I used to replace the cap with. Is this ok to use on the marine application the cap and rotor are marine grade. Thanks for any replies?

Ayuh,... As long as the cap, 'n rotor fits the distributer, 'n it Runs,...

It don't matter what kinda tool it takes to remove the cap....
Although, it'll probably pizz off a Mechanic someday....

The Allen Hex Head makes it easier to get the screws on and off, you can barely get a screwdriver in there as there is NO ROOM to work, NO CLEARANCE to work !!!!

The engine is 1995 5.7 4bbl carb the boat and engine are original distributer is original has vent on cap thunderbolt IV ignition no points, very hard get cap screws off, not much space between the top on the engine compartment and the hold down screws to get a screwdriver in there! at least with the ALLEN KEY screws you can turn the screws on an angle!
