I guess its one of those things I just need to let go of but I am getting real tired of dishonest people and companies. I had planned on having indoor storage this year to finish up a few things on my pontoon rebuild and have it finished up by spring. I thought I had made arrangements with a storage company back in September , I even paid the full storage fee for 5 months in advance. I did not go to their buildings I was told their was 3 buildings and I would be assigned a spot in one and when I was ready I would be shown where it was. Storage fees were paid from November through March. I pulled my boat off of the slip on November 15 th and did some cleaning and winterizing and did my prep for storage. then made a trip to the storage place to get my location and look over how I would need to tow it in. When I got to their office that's when the fun started. First I was told their was no open spots left and then when I showed them a receipt and rental contract that was paid in full I got the wide eyed look and the babble started and so did the scrambling around and phone calls. First it was your to late to get a spot, and of course my response, I paid for the spot in full 2 months ago it wasn't full then, then I get ooo well some one must of over booked, and my response, is not my problem you need better managers. Then comes the refund offer, less one months storage fee for a month I never used in a spot I never had, and at that point I was a bit angry, so I pulled out my phone and called my lawyers office to look into fraud charges. While I was talking on the phone their tone suddenly changed and I was offered a full refund and I said no thanks I will just have the owner charged with fraud and arrested. Lawyer said it would be a easy case. About this time the owner shows up apologizing profusely and says they will make a spot for me. I refused it and got my refund in total. Their is no way in hell I would leave my boat there in a over crowded spot I am sure it would have had several accidents while there, and of course it is to late to find another spot now so its in my yard. What I was planning on isn't any thing big I got most of that done over the summer and I will finish it up on decent weather days, but it would of been a lot easer in a building with out having to deal with rain and snow.
