disconnect s.l.o.w. feature?

O.K. now how do i disconnect s.l.o.w. feature on my 99 johnson 130hp. i guess thats why i'm not getting an accurate reading when i'm checking my timing. any help would be greatly appreciated!! thank you......

SLOW will only engage if it overheats or you ground the heat sensor wire.

if slow is engaged and sensors are not faulty replace the powerpack.
But you didn't state what the problem is so...whatever.

Sonds like you want to disconnect Quickstart feature. Quickstart is the white/black wire on the port head temp sensor. I do not remember if you need to ground the wire or not to take it out of quickstart mode.

You need to ground the powerpack end of the white w/black stripe wire to disable QuikStart. QuikStart will advance the timing each time the engine is started, but if grounded, the QuikStart feature will disable in 5 seconds.
