Hello, I am trying to get my '95 Ranger trail trailer brakes working again. When I purchased it recently the brake line to the drivers side caliper was broke. Knowing that one or both of the calipers could be frozen--I replaced the line and filled/bleed the system. Sure enough that drivers side calipers was froze--My question is where can I find parts/calipers for this trailer? Does Ranger use common parts? Nearest Ranger dealer is couple hours away--and like to stear clear of dealers--thanks for any help!

Just out of curiousity, you may want to contact Ranger's parts department. I've found that ordering parts from them is fairly reasonable, they just nail you on the labor at the dealer's. I've done some work on my Ranger, alot of cosmetic, and their prices were more reasonable than I would have thought. You can get the number from the ranger website. Good luck. BTW, was it a big difference going from a Lund to a Ranger? I'm a Ranger owner and was on the verge of looking for a Ranger 621 walleye addition to trade in on.

Re: disc brake calipers

495v, thanks never thought of the website. The difference between fiberglass and aluminum is great--much smoother, quiter, solid, no rivets to leak and with Ranger--no wood in the hull to worrt about--don't let Ranger fool you though--they do use "wood" in their boats! Everything that is not part of the structural hull is fiberglass encased wood. I did not now this before I bought the boat. My boat did come rigged with a 175 merc--but the original owner(whom I purchased from) didn't want to spend 30k and talked the dealer into rigging it with a 115 merc. No big deal, 40mph is fast enough for a walleye boat!
