I have a 2009 256 ssx and it has the depth finder that is digital in the same gauge that has gas gph, oil pressure, etc. Here is the story.
- First the alarm would always sound after the gauge cycled on startup when it got to depth. Then you would have to push the center button to clear it and the depth would read but the two lights would stay lit up on each side of the gauge.
- I went into setup mode and verified that depth is displayed and checked some other settings. After that the depth disappeared completely and is no longer selectable in the main menu. I don't think it is a transducer problem cause it was working fine until I went into display mode and started to mess around with the depth alarm; however, I put everything back to normal the way it was when I found it.
Any suggestions? I was thinking of doing a factory reset but that option isn't displayed either in setup mode when i hit both left and right buttons at the same time. So looks like I'm out of luck either way.
