I just got a digital camera today, it's a Fuji Finepix 2650. When I take a picture it's huge and I have to convert or resize it and when I do it gets 'grainy'. Is there a way to avoid that? The original 'huge' picture is very sharp. I'm reading the manual now :) <br /><br />Guy thing = Use the item, then read how.

Gee mag....I dunno....usually like with mine, when ya blow the picture up it up it gets grainy. Yours is doing the opposite. Good idea to read the manual.

Re: digital cameras

I figured it out. Don't take a picture in maximum resolution because the image is too big for your computer screen (good for having it printed though). Take it at a web compatible size (640 x 480) and it's crystal clear. Resizing the image makes it 'grainy'.

I use photo adobe all the time , My better half took a photo of me with a little fish and a photo of her with a big fish and combined them to make it look like our picture was taken together in one photo. so I scanned a porn mag cover and put her face on the cover girls body.<br />================================================<br />OMC

go to eBay. You can get a slightly older version of photoshop for dirt cheap on eBay but it takes some willingness to play with it to figure it out.

Take a look at Photoshop Elements 2.0 or Paintshop Pro.<br /><br />They are much less expensive than Photoshop ( either can be had for under $50).<br /><br />They both are quite powerful and less complicated.<br /><br />Have fun.

magster65<br />I've played with them all....The best bang for your buck, extremely powerfull, and the easiest to use is "Micrografx Picture Publisher" (also known as "Corel Picture Publisher") You can sometimes run in to version 8 or 9 for around $20. Either version is adequate.<br /> :)

Thanks guys, I got a new PC a while back and decided to switch to windows XP. I've had a little grief trying to get all my programs to go again... time consuming.
