New remaned 4.3l in my 2001 Stingray w Alpha1

IR temp on port side top of riser after getting engine up to operating temp was 190 and starboard 95. Preliminary research online seems to indicate the normal difference is opposite of what I have, correct?

Ayuh,.... It could be as simple as the angle of the motor in the boat on the trailer,....

Water takes the path of least resistance, at the lowest point,...

check often. you may have a chunk of debris in the one side blocking water flow

Sorry I should have been more clear, reading where taken on the water after a 15 minute run.

Is 190 degrees okay?

Yeah my 5.7 did the same thing, I think it was port side? I was told this is normal.

Fresh water

Impeller new prior to winterizing.

I did run it on muffs between idle and 1200 rpm for an extended time before taking it to the lake this spring.

Totally normal for one side do be a different temp than the other. Can easily be 20 degrees different.
