Hello Johnson Wizards
This is about 1957 and 1959 35 horse power drive shafts for Johnson Seahorses
Does anybody know if there is any difference in length between the '57 and the '59 drive shafts?
Or is it only the difference of the key and the pin?
As far as the waterpump is concerned.
Can the '59 drive shaft with key be used on the '57 with pin?
This is part of an ongoing project to run a '64 Duratech Orion with twin '57 35 Seahorses.
All your opinions and answers will be much appreciated,
Thanks,Rolmops.

Re: Difference in driveshaft length?

The only difference is the pin and key. I have a 1958 Johnson 35 and both work on mine. So I would say that you can use either one.
