i am new here and would like to say hello to all from germany. i have a 20 foot cabin boat with a 3.0 GS installed and i am a little confused regarding the power of this engine. many documents say it has 150 hp instead 135 horsepower of the 3.0 GL. is this true and when yes where are the differences between this two models? from the "feeling" i would say it has 135 hp as well, my previous boat was also a 20 foot cabin with the evinrude ficht ram with 150 hp and i must say the evinrude outboard had MUCH more juice than the volvo.
one another questeion: last time i had the opportunity to plane WOT for about 20 minutes and all was fine- the temperatures as well the oil pressure. but after reducing power for trolling in the harbour the engine sounded like it would fire only on 3 cyl - after two minutes all was ok and the engine ran smoothly again. this never happended before.
