Hi,

I am selling a spare set of Bravo III props on E-bay, and was asked 2 questions by a potential buyer--and I don't know the answers.

Recall, Bravo III's have two counter-rotating props on each drive.

1. One of the props is stamped Mercury Marine, the other is stamped QuickSilver. Is there a difference? If so, is one better than the other? (I purchased both props at the same time from the same dealer.)

2. Part of the part number includes "A6", which follows the number usually associated with the props. Does anyone know what the A6 designation means? The props are numbered Quicksilver #48-823665 A6 and Mercury Marine 48-823666 A6.

Thanks!
Denny

Re: Difference between Merc and Quicksilver prop

A6 should mean they are standard or "High Thrust" as opposed to the later "Cupped" props that could be had.

I never really noticed the props saying anything different on them, front to back. There is no other source besides Mercruiser, so it's not like one is from another company or anything.
