Difference between 60 and 90 hp mercury 95 model

They have the same block---both are 3 cylinder--- most of the parts interchange from what i have came up with--- whats the difference that makes the extra 30 hp----could i change something on my 60 to make it a 90 --

Ayuh,.... I'm guessin', like the SBC 305, 'n 350, the blocks are the same,... Externally,....

Bore, stroke, or port timin' are No doubt different,...

I dont know but I have a 95 60 and no stranger to modifying stuff. :) But I would agree the bore and stroke have to be different if they use the same block.

Pistons, block, crank, carbs . All different. The gaskets might be the same.

Nothing between the 60 and the 90 are the same...The 60 is 51.8 ci and the 90 is 84.6ci
