This has happened twice this season. Starts beautiful - runs fine at mid-throttle (rarely use WOT). Good cooling stream from telltale - fuel bulb is firm, fuel tank vent is open, fuel more than half full and only a couple weeks old. ALWAYS run the carb dry every time the engine has been started.
After running half hour or more at mid-throttle, reduce to approach mooring and the engine just DIES. Does not cough & sputter, just dies. Difficult to restart. I would approximate the no-go speed at the point on the tiller handle where it is marked, RESTART:
After overnight - restarts without issue. Have NOT had the problem every time I went out, but always feathering the throttle differently as I approach the mooring. Played around this morning and I believe the issue is quick deceleration.
The engine in on a bracket off the transom, so inconvenient to anything - even latching the cover is dicey.
What is the correct adjustment on the STOP SCREW for low speed?
Thank you
