yep i got cannon powershot s50. actually this is my 5th digital camera. have always had olympus before. and always kept upgrading. wanted to go to a 5 megapixel camera this time and after reading all the reviews i could find seemed like the cannon powershot was the best buy. Had a hard time leaving the olympus line because they always took such nice pictures. so far using the cannon is just as easy and being 5 mega pixels the pictures are great. the only problem i have and have had with my olympus also is when you use the zoom it seems to not take as nice a picture. a little more grainy or out of focus. anyway i thank my wife for being able to take all the little hints i left around the house the month before christmas. besides having the grandchildren over christmas eve it was the best present i got.

Just a thought, ( But you seem knoledgable about cameras), Make sure when you take zoom pictures that you do not get into the digital part of the zoom! It will make your pictures grainy!<br /><br />LubeDude

Hello.<br />My wife gave me a sony cybershot as a hanukkah present so i may well start adding some pictures once I find out how the darn thing works and how to get it on the net.So don't hold your breath just yet.

Rolmops, you will wonder how you lived without it. Not to feed you too much info b4 you're ready but here's one thing to keep in mind. The pictures that you download from your camera will have too many KB's to be able to post. You will want to use your software to reduce the pictures to 100kb or less. When you are ready just holler. You will get enough HELP here to make your head spin.

Yeah, digital cameras are the best think since regular cameras. You can take a ton of pics, choose the ones you want, and trash the rest. My hard drive is packed with picks ranging from boats to the cats doing stupid things. Can't beat it....

ZMOZ: Yes, you posted that picture in the past, I liked it then and I like it now!<br /><br />For those of you that got digital cameras, if you do not have a CD Burner you might want to invest in one! You can store all your pictures on CDs and not clog up your Hard drive! Nothing takes up hard drive space like pictures and music or videos!<br /><br />I have so much fun with mine, I dont know how I got along with out one for so long! I have lots of people giving me there old pictures to touch up on photoshop! Its amazing what you can save!<br /><br />LubeDude

Yeah, burning them onto CD is a really good idea. I lost about 200 pictures a while ago when my hard drive died...I was PISSED!
