did not get the prop I thought I was getting on minn kota endura 34

I bought a minn kota endura 34lb trolling motor last fall at Wal-Mart and on the box it says it has a 100% weedless prop. I was going on a fishing trip and to be prepaired for the worst I bought a spare prop. The prop I bought was just a power prop. I got the prop home and compaired it with the prop that came with the trolling motor and they are the same. The weedless prop is a little bigger. I called Minn Kota and they said that the Endura 34 comes with the power prop. I asked why the box would say it comes with a weedless and they did not know. I love the trolling motor and if needed I would buy another Minn Kota but I guess I will look at it first to make sure it is what is advertised. Just wondered if anybody else discovered the same.

rodge:<br />I could be wrong here but I think about the closest thing your going to find to a weedless prop is to hit reverse every once in awhile to un-wind them weeds a bit. Another thought would mabe be the design of the motor housing that deflects the weeds and not really the prop its self?? But I'm truely guessing now <br /><br />Link

Hey I have the same motor( box says weedless prop) and I cant tell the difference between my prop and the power prop. Hmmmmmm false advertising? I also love the motor and wouldnt return it over something this small but really makes you think.

mikeandronda<br />The weedless prop looked bigger to me. Also about $6.00-$7.00 more. The power prop is a MKP-2 and the weedless a MKP-6. rodge

Yup, I had the 36#, and it came with the Power prop. It sucks in the weeds. I was constantly unwinding the thing.
