What's the big hub-ub over Splash of The Year and the Starcraft restos? Is this just an iBoats "tradition"? Not trying to be rude, I'm just wondering what exactly it is.

The Starcraft guys have done it for 6yrs IIRC, and this will be the 1st year for a Resto forum splash of the year (SOTY).

Takes a lot of work to put a boat back together, and members have wanted to acknowledge the effort and dedication it takes to do it.

Both SOTY topics will go live at Midight tonight and voting will be open until Midnight 1/15.

All forum members are encouraged to vote in both polls, and if you havent looked thru their topics, you should. Lots of great work and the Resto forums poll offers a diverse group of builds, fiberglass, tin and wood. The wood build being a modified DIY homebuilt plan.
