Did I hear Katie Couric correctly???

I was drifting in and out of lala land with the tv on the other day and when I awoke briefly ,Katie Couric was on tv and I thought I heard her say that the majority of the US population needs to be "reprogramed" because they dont think like she does...??? I forgot all about it until something was on about her guest hosting Jeopardy.Did I hear her right??? Charlie
