Did I buy a Yamaha headache?

Hi All,

I just bought a 1993 Rinker with a 4.3 Yammie outdrive. Its an unexpected purchase for me just to help out a cousin who was the original owner of the boat and was in financial trouble. He has all service records for it and has been always anal in everything he does for as long as I've known him. It scares me to own this but it is a much newer boat than mine and looks like in better shape. I've read a whole lot of conflicting information about this outdrive but the only thing consistent is that Yamaha was not in this market for too long. Any honest feedback or advice will be fully appreciated.

Ayuh,... There's Nothin' conflicting about it,....

Parts can Not be bought for it....

Sell it,.... Now, while it's still runnin',.....
