I AM WORKING A 2001 90 HP YAMAHA 2 STROKE<br />THAT STALLS WHEN YOU PUT IT IN GEAR,<br />WENT THROUGH TESTS IN MANUAL, I AM DOWN TO<br />THE IGN CHARGE COIL. THERE IS NO VOLTAGE CHANGE <br />FROM CRANKING,IDLE OR 3500 RPM ON THE OUTPUT OF<br />THE CHARGE COIL. IT STAYS AT 5.3 VOLTS AC.<br />ANYONE HAVE ANY EXP WITH THIS SYSTEM ?

you cant test it with a standard multi-meter. you must use a peak reading type. and stalling when shifting is usually a fuel issue not spark. rereun the tests with the proper equipment.<br /> good luck and keep posting

i am using peek meter<br />did the carbs<br />when i unplug the crank sensor<br />engine will not stall but low power<br />has new cdi
