Hey guys hope to get some help before spending more money. My water temperature gauge comes on at idle only.
I have replaced my impeller and water housing is ok no scores also have replaced thermostat and by pass valve. Runs great and water pressure at 10 psi running over 4000 rpm. Runs great untill coming to a stop and idleing.
When temp light comes on turn off engine and takes a couple of cranks before it starts. Starts again and works ok for a minute then temp comes back on when idle.
Doesnt seem to have any restrictions have flushed with air and water from thermostat hole to pee hole no apparent restrictions.
My only other guess is replacing the exhaust temperature sensor.
The condition happens after i get to my fishing spot and idle the engine or when i come back to the boat ramp and wait idleing in the water for my turn to get out.
