Thanks in advance
I have a 04 df250 single motor single binnacle style remote. I have new cables shift and throttle . My issue is it seems a little tight when going from forward to reverse but the main issue is there seems to be a lot of play after gear is engaged and rpms go up. So you seem to go from idle to 2000 rpms very quickly making it a little hard to dock. From what I can tell it seems like the linkage on motor is moving with throttle handle but reaction to rpms is not fluid.

Maybe check/loosen control box friction adjustment screw....at least until new cables loosen up with use?....

make sure you adjust the cables to where they fit properly without having to force them one way or the other to go on while controls are in neutral.

also make sure cables are not bent too tight causing them to bind up

Well I did adjust friction screws to no avail. I am leaning toward linkage on motor . Because if I disconnect cables at motor its smooth and easy. So I will try disconnecting 1 at a time and see if I have any binding in linkage . Thanks for the advice so far will post my findings
