I bought a boat recently and I want to know my prop pitch. There are no markings on it (at least not on the visible part - haven't taken it off). How can I find out the pitch? Thanks!

Re: Determining Prop Pitch

Remove the prop and give it a good looking over. There should be some type of markings on it somewhere. If you find that to the the case, post what you find. What kind of boat/motor do you have? Length of boat, type and HP of motor, etc......

Most manufacturers place their markings around where the prop nut secures it. Some are so small you'll have to remove the nut, while others are fairly clear.
