Friday afternoon evening with 85 degrees so the wife and I take the convertible out. Coming home right at dusk on a two lane state highway that due to budget cuts hasn't been mowed since July. The weeds and grass are litterly 3 to 4 foot tall right up to the edge of the black top. Anyhow, running along at about 45 - 50 because I know the deer are thick this time of year. Didn't help, three come out of the weeds right in front of me. I braked and swerved and missed two but couldn't avoid the third one. Looking at it this morning I'd guess $3000 to $5000 damage. Front facia, air dam, carbon fiber hood, gazilion dollar head light assembly, drivers side fender, drivers side door panel.
Now I get to call the insuranace people and do battle. Of the the 10's of thousands of miles I drive each year I probably drive this car between 500 and 600 miles total. Yeah, I'm bummed, the car will never be "original" again.
