I have a 1994 Fourwinns Vista with a 5.L FI engine. I have pulled the engine to replace a leaking oil pan and have learned that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. I have searched from New Brunswick to Maine to Arkansas and Florida for this pan and can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know of an automotive application that is an exact match dimenensionally? Mine is a side-drain that I don't expect to find on an automotive pan, but I can get that modified locally. Also open to repair suggestions for the old pan, although sandblasting has uncovered many pinholes that make welding unpractical.
Please help!
PS. I believe the correct part numbers are OMC#3853798 or Volvo 3850394.

Isn't this the exact same? Looks like it even has the same ford part number on it..
351 HO Marine Oil Pan Windage Tray 5 8L Ford Mastercraft Nautique PCM Indmar | eBay

And here's another with the OMC part number you listed..
Oil Pan for OMC Volvo Ford 5 8L EFI 3853798 | eBay

Coincidentally, I have the same exact oil pan on my truck. I pulled it from a boat, specifically to use on the motor I was building for the truck because I wanted the extra capacity.

Junk yards are a good bet.'
I found one in West Branch, Mi.
JB won't work on an oil pan.

It actually can work but only if you do it from the inside on a clean sanded surface. I wouldn't trust it on a bunch of pinhole leaks though. A friend of mine knocked a large hole in her oil pan, I went to the junkyard and pulled another oil pan only to find a crack in it once I got home. I sealed it with JB weld and installed it in 2007, it's still holding strong 6 years later.

Agree to disagree because I used JB weld on gas tank and it held up just fine. Key is to cleaning the surfaces quite well before you apply. So with that being said a gas tank I repaired that way still running strong three years. Yes it's not oil but again I would say gas by far will eat through JB weld faster then oil, which oil might not be ever. So clean it very well and it will hold I'm assured on that.
