Depthfinder dimness

Is there anything that I can do to brighten the screen on my depthfinder. It is just to dim to see it very well. I have a Hummingbird LCR 4id. Is there a tint or brightness adjustment on it?

There should be somewhere. If I hit my power key it toggles the brightness.

Nearly very locator has a contrast setting. Normally there is a MENU button you hit and then step through the settings. If the unit has a backlight, there should also be a brightness setting for that but it won't do you anygood for daytime viewing. The contrast setting is what creates the light-dark relationship.
