I bought a new Humminbird in dash depth gauge with the in hull transducer. Has anyone ever had trouble with them, I havent installed it, but I heard they dont work well. Any info would be great before I start running wires.. Thanks

There isn't anything on the market that works perfect for everybody. Many people love em, Many people hate em.<br />If you don't like it, take it back.

I have heard that the most crucial element to an in hull transducer is to make sure that you are bonded to good clean solid fiberglass. No insulating material or wood core in the way. I didnt want to mess with all of the hassle so I just mounted mine in the conventional way.
