i haven’t been able to get my boat up to speed and I can’t hammer down without it bogging. I checked with my advance timing light out on the water and it’s not advancing at all. I have replaced the module inside the distributor and ignition coil and it still will not advance. Do I need a whole new Delco est distributor?

What motor and year?
Have you removed the timing jumper and reconnected the interrupter switch?

Do you have 12V going to the distributor in the one wire going into it on the shunt side (right side, where the jumper was used to time it)?

I haven’t checked that. But I can tell it goes into base time mode when I hook the shunt up

Put the volt meter on one of the terminals of the shift interrupter
