Dehumidifier Bags/Buckets

Just curious if anyone uses dehumidifier bags and or buckets in the cabin of the boat that is shrink wrapped and outside for the water for the winter?

I see them quite often. Usually full of moisture within a couple weeks. Not sure how many it would take to keep the boat totally dry all winter. Some are inside heated storage, some are outside in freezing conditions. Never seen one burst from freezing though.

I use them in my cabin..... I empty the bucket almost weekly and refill

Shrink wrap should have vents . Then open all windows/portholes and hatches , including engine box/cover . Never bothered with any dehumidifier product and little to no condensation when everything is opened up.

Yes, after shrinking (use white NOT BLUE) I hang two in cuddy and two or three from the straps that hold the shrink wrap frameworks in place. The shrink wrap has vents but it will still fill the bags over the winter.........Seems to help/prevent the dreaded over winter mildewing quite well.
