Wouldnt it be nice if we could deflate the boat and make it as small as it was when we first got it?
Is anybody using an electric pump to deflate their boat?
If so is it noticeably smaller once deflated

Last time my boat was out, I used my electric high pressure pump to deflate it. It did make it more compact and easier to fold, but it wasn't very fast. You could deflate it as your packing your other gear away.

The only way to achieve same packed size when factory deliverd is to take pics while in the whole process of unfolding it, once defleated, pack it up excatly as when new and vacuum with vacuum clenear, hand, foot pump all chambers evenly through air valves.

Happy Boating

it is really not the best idea to evacuate all the air from these boats every time you disassemble them
unless you are very, very careful about not having sharp creases and bends, especially true if a fold
makes a pointy edge, otherwise the material and seams could experience fatigue.

here is a link to a video of the initial unpacking of a SIB,
skip up to about 1:40 if you are impatient.
