What type of wiring is good in a boat? I assume the copper should be plated with silver or tin? Should the insulation be teflon?

Re: Define "marine grade" wiring

As I understand it, RHadley, marine grade wire is made with many small strands of tin plated copper for greater flex and corrosion resistance.

As for the insulation, it is also very flexible. Looks and feels like rubber but is probably a synthetic.

Good luck. :)
