Deck seat pedestals

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2008 Hurricane Fun Deck 202 gs. There are places in the front for pedestal seats but they didn't come with the boat. They are different than the ones I've seen before. Anyone have ideas on which brand or style fits this boat? I will be using it for pleasure and fishing so I wanted to order seats for the front.

Can you post some pictures. There are typically two types of standard mounts and should be easy enough to get them here on iboats or places like BassPro Shops.

I have a 2008 FD202GS with front pedestal seats. Mine are the Atwood EZ-Swivel Lakesport 238. I have the 238322 mounts with the Proform seats. Hope this helps.

FACEPALM.... Sorry I misread and understood you had the mounts there and were trying to determine what pedestal and seats to use.

I purchased mine at Bass Pro, not sure the brand but you have a variety of choices (fixed height, variable) Unless the mount is extremely deep, most standard mount/pedestals should work

Probably should mention, I didn't install the seat system on my boat, that's how the boat came. Looking at my original 2008 Hurricane pamphlet the fishing package pictures show the seating system I have, so I assume that's how they came in that year. If you assume your mounts originally came with the boat I'd recommend you go to the Atwood site and compare your mounts. The numbers I quoted are off my seats etc. Again hope this helps.

My 2012 SD 237 has two factory installed pedestal bases on the front deck and they are Springfield Marine. It's their 2 3/8" Keyed Plug-in base and pedestal design. The pedestal just slides down into the base once you line up the key way. It's a very sturdy design. Your 2008 might have that design as well.

I've attached a picture of the base. If yours looks like it, then you have a Springfield Marine design.
