Deck Damage?

I had our Regal 2665 hauled and trailered to the dealership today for some engine work. I cruised to the local boat ramp and the mechanic took it from there. He loaded it onto the trailer and headed back to the lot. On the way, the bow line (never removed ) slipped off the foredeck. While he was making a right turn it was run over by one of the trailer tires. The line, which was still cleated, wrapped around a stantion and ripped it off the deck... all of the other stantions /flanges were also bent. There does not appear to be any external deck damage.

I am starting to get over it as the dealer will be paying for damages... it had better be better than new when we get it back!

Can anyone help me with what to look for when inspecting the deck for damage after the stantions are removed as I will be there to inspect.

Thanks...

Re: Deck Damage?

I would request that a Marine Surveyor look over the damage and repair for your safety

13. Please do not post multiple threads in multiple forums about a single problem. This is confusing to those trying to help you. Multiple threads in the same forum about the same issue is also confusing. If you want help fast, one thread in one forum is the best way to get it.

This makes three threads in three fora, JRN.

Re: Deck Damage?

That should buff right out no problem.

Yes, even people that work with boats every day for a living make mistakes, just like us boat owners.

Never schedule work on your boat for a Monday or a Friday.
