In the boat mags I get i see all sorts of fast deck boats with no windshield. I can see how it makes the floor plan open up, etc. but what is the market for these? One member of most families will not want to be in open air going 45 mph all day - MOM. My wife wouldn't want to ever go fast with no wind protection except on the very warmest days up here by the finger lakes.
It seems like a very good idea on slow pontoons OR deck boats not equipped for speed, but on ones that go over 40 mph???? I see "buyers remorse" the first day out and you realize it's freezing until mid summer!
Maybe these are more popular further south and us northerners get ones with windshields, but many models don't have that option, do they?
Just curious what others think.
